Foil, Vellum & "Irresistibly Yours" Specialty DSP 2

Because I had more than one idea for the card I showed you yesterday, I decided to make them both. So today you get to see the second one. (Again you will have to forgive the lighting. My usual light source couldn't be used and I had to use my window sill on a cloudy day.)

You can see that I used the diagonal stripe from the "Irresistibly Yours" specialty DSP this time. Using both the Strawberry Slush and Encore Metallic Gold ink pads with Sponge Daubers, I filled in the striped areas with colour.

I did the same on the inside of this card as I did with yesterday's. And next is the layering shot.

So two fun cards with the same basic design, but slight variations. Hope you had fun seeing these two cards! To see what I used in the making of this card, please check below.

Happy Stamping!

Foil, Vellum & "Irresistibly Yours" Specialty DSP

There's something a little more classy and elegant when using foil cardstock on a project. Not long ago I created a Valentine Card using Strawberry Slush and Silver, but today's is with gold foil! Also, for today's project, I used the Sale-a-bration "Irresistibly Yours" specialty DSP. Love using the paper!

I created two cards that are basically the same, but using a few different elements. (Forgive the lighting. My usual light source couldn't be used and I had to use my window sill on a cloudy day.)
So I will show you one today, and the other tomorrow.

Another product I like to use is vellum. for this card I heat embossed with gold one of the flowers from the "Flower Shop" stamp set and then used my Strawberry Slush ink pad and an Ink Dauber to colour the flower from behind. Love that soft colour look!

In this next one you can see a peek at the layers inside the card to create a pink & gold border.

Next, you can see all the layering.

With the piece of "Irresistibly Yours" specialty DSP, I went from dark to light at a curve sponging with Strawberry Slush, and then with a piece of paper towel wiping of the excess ink and reveal the white leaves of the paper.

Here is a Stampin' Up video on all the ways you can use the "Irresistibly Yours" specialty DSP.

To see what I all used in the making of this card, check below. Have fun making yours!

Happy Stamping!

Painted Blooms DSP Card 5 - Simply Wonderful

For the 5th and last card in the Painted Blooms series, I created a 'friendship' card with the "Simply Wonderful" stamp set. I also used more of the fussy cut blooms that I had cut up for making the 6 cards that have been posted over the past few days. I have a few left for some more cards that I will make in the future.

This time I used Rose Red for the accent colour, and used the Stampin' Write Markers to colour the stamp. I love the "Large Polka Dot" embossing folder! Works well the the small tulip pattern. In the next 2 photos you can see the layering.

To see what I all used to make this card, check below.

Painted Blooms DSP Card 4 - "Congrats" Simply Wonderful Stamp Set

The 4th card of this series is a "Congrats" card. Much more simple with none of the fussy cut flowers, I focused on the lighter colours on this DSP sheet - yellow & blue.

You can see the sentiment stamp is stamped in two colours even though the stamp is all in one. I covered the scroll pattern with scotch tape when I inked the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The I pealed the tape off and using the Soft Sky Stampin' Write Marker brush tip I coloured the pattern and then stamped the sentiment! A real fun way to get more than one colour of ink on your stamps.

Using the Decorative Label punch on the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper I punch a piece out. Then I cut it diagonally from corner to corner and popped it up behind the sentiment, and placed the Candy Dots in the corners.

Next you can see the layers better.

On the banner, I punched two holes to pull the ribbon through, and tied a bow. To see all of the things I used in the making of this card check below.

Thank you for joining me today, and happy stamping!

Painted Blooms DSP Card 3 - Sympathy

This is the third in the "Painted Blooms" DSP card series, which I created as a Sympathy card using the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Again, using the fussy cut flowers, and the Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, and Rose Red colours I created this card. In this next photo you can see how I arranged the flowers.

And next, you can see the layering.

If you like fussy cutting, then Painted Blooms DSP has a few sheets that are perfect for that! There is also the "Painted Petals" stamp set that coordinates with the DSP!

Painted Blooms DSP Card 2 - Big Day

This is the second posting for this card series using the "Painted Blooms" DSP. For this Birthday Card I used the "Big Day" Sale-a-bration stamp set that you can for free with a $60 order.

I made three tags, tied them together, and then spread them out adding dimensionals between each layer toward the middle/end of the tags after notching them, or fish tailing them is you will. I cut three 5/8" strips and slid the ends into the back of the Banner Punch to just notch the ends. I criss-crossed them and glued them together.

After Punching the Decorative Label piece out of the Glimmer Paper, I cut it in half horizontally and positioned it behind the stamped sentiment punched with the same punch, and attached it on top of the criss-crossed banner strips with diemensionals. Then, again with dimemsionals, I attached it to the tags.

After fussy cutting a whole 12 x 12 sheet of the "Painted Blooms" variety of flowers, I arranged and positioned the blooms with a combinations of liquid glue and dimensionals around the top of the tags and ribbon.

I had a lot of fun with this card and hope you are inspired to case this one or create your own version. See below for all that I used to make this card.

Happy Stamping!

Painted Blooms Card Collection - A Pair

I've made 6 cards using the Painted Blooms DSP. I will show case them for the next 5 days. I cut fussy one entire 12 x 12 sheet of the multi flower sheets to get an entire collection of all the different flowers and leaves from it.

Today's will be of 2 cards. These two are different that the traditional card with about 1/2 of the card front being cut away.

In the next 2 photos, you can see how the front of the card works.

 Check below for materials used.

Have fun making your half-front card!

Masculine Birthday Card

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for the Weekly Deals, just scroll down to the next post.

Time to make a few masculine birthday cards, and I'm starting with making one for my youngest son, who will be turning 30 in March. He likes green a lot, so I thought I would make something along the lines of camouflage. So using Baked Brown Sugar and Mossy Meadow colours with the "Sheltering Tree" stamp set, this is what it turned out like.

With the foliage stamp from the "Sheltering Tree " stamp set, I had to second stamp so that the colours weren't too dark around the border edge. On the Ornate Tag Topper piece I used the Modern Mosaic embossing impression folder and lightly sponged Baked Brown Sugar over the raised pattern.

Here you can see the layering a bit better.

I sure love those Antique Brads! This would be a great card for someone in the Armed Forces.

Hope you are inspired to create some of your own masculine cards now. Have fun! To see what product I used for this card, see below.

Happy Stamping!
