You Brighten My Day Sneak Peak

Using product from the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Booklet is such fun! Soon you will be able to get yours too! In the mean time here is a sneak peek of the Occasions' "Birthday Bash" DSP (137783) and the Sale-a-bration's "You Brighten My Day" stamp set (free a with $60 purchase).

This whimsical and cheerfully coloured card is one that uses my favorite 'dimension' look on a card. This is a 'give in person' card.

Aren't the colors and patterns of the "Birthday Bash" DSP bright and cheerful? The little house and curved sentiment are so adorable. Here is a look at the stamp set.

One of the things I like about this stamp set is that there are so many punches that works with it!

This is a pretty easy card to whip up. Just punch away, press to shape the blossoms, layer, and attach!

And here is what I did on the inside of the card.

So are you a 'keep it simple & flat' creator, or a 'love layers & dimension' creator? To see all the punches I used, etc., check below at the end of this post.

Thank for checking in to have a look at today's card. Have a great New Year Celebration tonight!

Polka-Dot Tag Bag Gift Bags - Change Their Shape! AND Weekly Deals!

It always feels good to take something and change it up a bit. Today I'm showing you how to take the flat "Polka-Dot Tag Bag Gift Bags" and change their shape and function. We're making it into a treat or mini gift bag!

It's quick and easy, and you can make these in an assembly line fashion to make one for each child in your child's class, or for that fun Valentine party! You can also change it up and make these for birthday parties!

So if you want to know how to make these from a flat bag, just watch the video...

The product used for this project can be viewed below. After viewing the video, there is more to check out! It's Tuesday, so that means new Weekly Deals to check out and there are some real good ones!

I've had my eye on the "Party Pennants Bigz Die" for a while now, and this is a great deal on it! To view the list and order, check it out here.

What do you see that is on your wish list? Remember to use the current Hostess code when ordering on line (if your order is less than $200)

Tri-Fold Mini Folio

I'm sharing with you today, the Christmas gift that I made for my parents. I would have posted this sooner, but because my charging cord for my iPad Mini broke, I had to wait a while to get it out to you.

My Mom loves the colours of Ivory & Gold with just a touch of colour, so that is what I did with this mini folio. This first image is the front view.

And this next photo is the back of the folio.

Rather than show you a ton of photos of each page and section of the Mini Folio, I'm including a walk-through-tour of the project.

Except for the Washi tape, everything is Stampin' Up products. This Mini Folio measures 6 3/4"w x 6"h x 3/4" thick. The three step "Lotus Blossom" stamp set (139143) will be available in the 2015 Sale-a-bration brochure January 6, 2015. I love, love, love this stamp set, and can see it as a keeper long past it's retirement.

Available Soon
I plan to make another one using Designer Series Paper (instead of the stamped flowers), recording the construction of the project, typing up the instructions, and have them ready for you to purchase at a small cost, so that you too can make one!

The product I used, you will find below. Thank you for stopping by and viewing the project I gifted my parents. Happy stamping!

Twitterpated & PPA Sketch Challenge 233

I know I just entered this challenge, but I had so much fun I felt I had to create another card using the same inspirational sketch from PPA.

This time I kept the card horizontal as in the sketch but rotated the design.

I used DSP from "Stacked With Love" (137779) again along with Strawberry Slush & Crumb Cake cardstock. The stamp set is from the Occasions Catalogue, available January 6th, "You Plus Me" (138594).

I kept the card pretty simple, and always love using my punches. This time it's the "Itty Bitty Heart".

It's so fun to use the little bunch of hearts to stamp a border around the edge. I wrapped some Linen Thread around and tied a bow attaching the mini hearts with Glue Dots.

Nothing fancy inside, just some matted DSP.

The next photo shows the card with a couple of treat/gift bags made from Stampin' Up's Polka Dot Tag  Bag Gift Bags. Will show you how to do that soon.

Thank you looking at my additional PPA 233 card entry. This one is closer to the sketch than the last one was.

The New Year is soon upon us and I wonder what 2015 will bring to us all.

Happy stamping and paper crafting!

From My Heart - PPA 233 Sketch Challenge

Earlier this month I was wondering if I would have a good Christmas. I did end up having a wonderful Christmas. Because of my back problems just a few weeks before Christmas, I didn't get my tree up this year, and I love having a Christmas tree. It was different, but I still had a wonderful Christmas and was able to enjoy some time with my parents. It would have been nice to have a decorated tree, but the real meaning of Christmas was still here without it, being just as wonderful. Being with those you love, is a real huge part of Christmas. I hope that all you had a wonderful Christmas too.

Now that Christmas is over, and the preparing for it is past, it is fun to create for something else. So with a little time on my hands since I couldn't edit videos for a project I completed, I thought I would have some fun again participating in another Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge!

I took a bit of liberty with the sketch, but hope that you can still see the inspirational sketch in my design. I kept the design as is but moved the vertical strip in the sketch more toward the right and use the design in a vertical card layout instead of horizontal. Substituting the chevron strips rather than the triangles in the sketch, I think have the same effect.

The paper used for this card is a sneak peek of the Stacked With Love DSP stack from the Occasions Catalogue, while the Stamp set Groovy Love is from the Annual Catalogue.

In this next photo you can see the layers.

And here is the inside of the card, too.

So if you like my interpretation of this sketch and want to make this card too, you can see what I all used in the making of this card down below.

For the next while I will be making a few more Valentine related projects, as well as Thanks Yous and Birthdays. I'll also be getting ready for my Open House January 10th! Excited about that.

Till next time!

You're Sweet & Pals Paper Arts Challenge Sketch

Added Dec. 24/14 - I'm a Paper Artist Pick! One of three. Check here!

I'm entering another card challenge while again showing you some new 2015 product. This is another card sketch entry, this time for the Pals Paper Arts #232 sketch challenge.

The sketch to the left is the challenge and I converted it to a long card that fits into a size 10 envelope. (Card measures 9 1/4" x 4"). I love this sketch as it can be manipulated to fit a variety of card sizes and is easily adapted for a variety of techniques.

What new 2015 things did I use?
  • You Plus Me stamp set & Stacked With Love DSP Stack Bundle (138880) Occasions Catalogue 2015
  • Clypso Coral ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (138634) Sale-a-bration 2015
Here's a close up of the stamped tag on the card. I used Crystal Effects on the two stamped hearts to make them glisten a little and add a little dimension.

The inside of the card is next. Love the ampersand and plan on using it a lot!

I think this will be the perfect Valentines card for one of my Grand-daughters! I love how the Stacked With Love DSP Stack also includes Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral along with the traditional black and red for Valentines. I look forward to using that stack all up!

Thank you for checking in to have a peek at my challenge entry and view some of the new 2015 products that will soon be available at Stampin' Up.

Big Day, Birthday Bash & Case this Sketch #103

Long posting title, right. Well I'm doing two things at the same time today. I am shring a birthday card I made using new Stampin' Up products for 2015, and at the same time entering the card for the "Case this Sketch" #103 challenge!

Here is the sketch for this challenge.

I've made this card for a friend that has her birthday on December 19th! Happy Birthday Carol!

I went a little outside the box in the design of this card while still having it look like the sketch. Not only did I apply the sketch in a horizontal version, but I made this into a tri-fold card!

For this card I have used the new collection "Birthday Bash"(137783). I love the bright and cheerful colours of this collection which I showed you in a sneak peek video earlier. This collection will be available in the new Occasions Catalogue.

The stamps set "Big Day"(139112), is one of the sets of Sale-a-bration! o is the "Best Year Ever Accessory Kit" of ribbon and buttons (138634). These two are items that you can only acquire with every $60 you purchase. The stamp set is also a great set to create the "chalkboard" look with as well.

So here are a few more photos showcasing the card.

So, I hope you enjoyed the fun paper and colours, and how I applied the sketch challenge to the card.
Below you will find a ist of all the items used that are currently available (Occasions catalogue & Sale-a-bration items are not listed as they are not yet available).

Thank you for stopping by to have a sneak peek. Happy stamping everyone!
